This is a classic water jar by Nathan Youngblood.  The jar is coil-built, carved, stone-polished and traditional fired.  The jar has a polished neck and base.  The design has flowing clouds across the surface.  They ebb and flow with lighting and rain designs within the clouds. The jar is highly polished to a glassy appearance.  It is signed on the bottom, “Nathan Youngblood” and his hallmark name in Tewa, which means “Deer Path”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
