This is a creative water jar by Johnathan Naranjo.  The jar has a round body and elongated neck.  The entire piece is fully polished.  Around the body of the jar there are four etched hummingbirds.  Each is realistic and depicted in motion. They are surrounded by flowers.  In the background is an etched wind design.   The light red matte areas are where Johnathan has only lightly etched into the surface of the jar.  This is a difficult technique to master but one which has become a trademark of Johanthan’s intricate and realistic style.  Johnathan pays great attention to the details in his pottery.  It’s these little details that certainly make his work so distinctive and exciting!  It is signed on the bottom.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
