This is an intricately designed seed jar by Jennifer Tafoya.  She is known for her clay vessels and also her amazing animal figures!  This jar is fully polished and fully designed.  The jar has four realistic dragonflies etched into the clay. They are surrounded by seven smaller dragonflies.  Check out the wings of the dragonflies, as they are all different!  The background has pollen designs as dragonflies are “prayer messengers”.  All the various colors are derived from natural clay slips.  Jennifer continues to be one of the leading innovative potters working today!  The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Jennifer Tafoya”.
