Nora Naranjo-Morse is known for creative clay figures and sculptural work. This is a clay figure, and one of her “Mud Woman” series. The figure has her face and hair painted with clay slips. She is wearing three necklaces, two of shell and one of turquoise.  The body of the figure is painted with clay slips, and note the painted navel is the “center” of the world.   It is signed on the bottom, “Nora”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
