$ 775.00

John Aragon is known for his use of Mimbres imagery on his pottery.  This is one of his open bowls.  Inside the bowl, it is fully painted with twelve different Mimbres birds.  There are a turkey, quail, crane, parrot, and others.  It is not just the variety of birds, but how he paints them to create a cohesive overall design.  The bowl was made in 1989.  Today, John makes very little pottery, but his pieces have their distinctive style.  The piece is signed on the bottom, “John F. Aragon”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
