Calvin Analla learned to make pottery from his sister, Yvonne Lucas, and her husband, Steve Lucas. This unique canteen is made by mixing two different types of clay together. That creates the mottled appearance of the clay. The canteen is thin-walled and painted with bee-weed on and a red clay. The design has a flower and tightly painted rain designs. Note the use of such thin lines! Amazing! It has a rounded bottom so it is sitting on a small stand. It is signed on the bottom, “Calvin Analla”.
