WOW!  This is a colorful and complex design bowl by Blue Corn.  She was on of the great innovative San Ildefonso potters of the late 1900s.  This bowl is round in shape, polished a creme coloration, and painted with five different colors of clay!  The bowl has a mountain design around the rim.  On the shoulder, there are checkerboard patterns separated by bird wing designs.  Each of the four sections is highlighted with a different color of clay.  The bowl is colorful and dramatic and an excellent representation of Blue Corn’s creativity and skill in her polychrome pottery. The bowl is signed, “Blue Corn”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  The piece is accompanied by one of her business cards as additional ephemera and provenance.
