This is a classic small canteen by Marie Z. Chino.  The piece is from the 1970s. It sits flat and is an older pueblo-style canteen with round handles and a rounded belly.  The canteen is painted with a Pueblo bird (probably a parrot) on the top.  The remainder is white and the piece was traditionally fired so there are slight color variations on the surface.  The canteen is signed, “Marie Z. Chino”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
