This is a small jar by Marie Z. Chino.  Marie is famous as one of the revivalists at Acoma Pueblo, along with Lucy M. Lewis, Jessie Garcia, and a few others.  This jar is a thin-walled smaller jar.  It has three bands of mountain designs painted above the shoulder. They are painted using bee-weed (black). The jar was traditionally fired so there are some very slight color variations to the white.  It is signed, “M. Z.  Chino”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
