Jarrod Da has created a distinctive style of painting using pastels. Each piece is hand-painted, and it is amazing how much detail he is able to achieve in each piece!  His new work is a blend of contemporary themes with San Ildefonso and Pueblo imagery.  This piece is entitled, “Blue Bear”.  Jarrod says of this painting:

“This piece is a version of a bear that I created in memory of my own father’s creation of the bear shape. An arched design representing a heartline leads to a piece of turquoise and two Druzy white quartz stones that finish the piece and add perspective.  There is a cloud design in front of the bear.  The column on one end of the piece is done in a traditional Pueblo Style.”

The painting is subtle but complex in design.  It comes in a black matte. It is signed, “DA 12”.  It is in excellent condition.
