Dunlap, Cynthia Star Flower – 12″ Tall Jar with Flower and Plant Designs

Cynthia Star Flower Dunlap (1959-2018) was a daughter of Carmelita Dunlap and a granddaughter of Juanita Montoya Vigil, the youngest sister of Maria Martinez. She was sister to Linda Dunlap, Jennie Dunlap, Carlos Dunlap, and Martha Appleaf Fender. This large jar has a shape similar to those made by Carmelita Dunlap with a cylindrical appearance. The jar is fully polished and painted with rain and flower designs. The designs are painted red-on-red before the piece was traditionally fired. The jar was traditionally fired an orange-red coloration. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Cynthia Star Flower”. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
