Incredible detail!  This basket combines black ash with birch bark on the sides.  The black ash creates the body of the basket and the birch bark surrounds the outside.  However, while the basket is very complex, the lid stands out in complexity.  It has an eagle as the design, created with porcupine quills!  The last series of photos documents the time involved process of using quills to create the complex design of the feathers, eye, and beak of the eagle.  Jeremey said it took him over 80 hours just to do the quillwork and more time than that on the basket!  It is signed on the bottom.
