4.5"w x 3"h

$ 700.00

Tse-Pe Gonzales was a son of noted potter Rose Gonzales. He was married to Dora Tse-Pe from 1971-1980 and they worked together on their early pottery.  While this piece is from around 1971-2, so it is an early piece of their work.  It has rounded interlocking “vines” around the surface of the bowl.  The entire surface is fully polished and then it was fired a glassy black.  After it was fired, the rounded vines were two-toned sienna.  It is a striking and creative use of design and color. The piece is signed on the bottom, “Tse-Pe & Dora”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
