Gutierrez, Margaret Lou – Long Neck Plainware Jar (1980s)

2"w x 3.5"h

$ 200.00

Margaret Lou Gutierrez was a daughter of noted potters Tonita & Juan Roybal.  She began making pottery in the 1970s and this is one of her pieces from the 1980s. This is a long-neck water jar.  The jar has a low shoulder and an elongated neck. The entire piece is fully polished and fired a glassy black coloration.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Margaret Lou Gutierrez”.  It is hard to see the signature in the photo, but it is clear on the piece.
