This large owl figure by Margaret and Luther Gutierrez is a classic of their style.  They are always whimsical and this one has a lot of additional detail on the body and the head.  There are additional geometric patterns on the back and wings to represent the feathers.  They always painted the owls so that their eyes were different.  Typically Margaret would have made the piece and Luther, her brother, would have painted it.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Margaret/Luther”.
