Margaret and Luther Gutierrez were known for their clay animals.  Margaret would make them and Luther would paint the designs.  This is a small plate.  It is painted with a polychrome parrot.  Above the parrot are clouds.  There are six different colors of clay used on this piece!  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Margaret / Luther”.
