$ 2,200.00

This is a very intricately painted large Zia jar with a lid by Elizabeth Medina.  She is known for her traditional style of Zia pottery.  Each piece is coil built, painted with native clays, and native-fired.  This jar has a round shoulder and a short neck  There are large birds and flowers on each side.  Above the birds are two bands of rainbows, one polished red and one polished tan.  Separating the larger rainbow areas are rain, cloud, and old style feather patterns.  The jar has a lot of complexity in the lines and detail in the painting. There is a lid with a bear on top. The flat part of the lid has rainclouds and the bear has a Zia bird polished red on the top.  The jar signed on the side “Elizabeth Medina, Zia”.  The jar is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
