WOW! This is a striking water jar by Randy Nahohai. He was known for his innovative Zuni pottery. This jar is coil-built and VERY thin-walled. The jar has a classic Zuni shape with a low shoulder. The body of the jar is painted with a rainbird design. The thin lines are perfectly painted as they spiral around the jar! It is visually spectacular. As well, the piece was originally purchased directly from Randy. There is an invoice form him that it was “fired on Feb 2011 at Randy’s home, Zuni Pueblo”. The jar also includes one of Randy’s business cards. The piece is signed, “R. Nahohai ’11”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. Definitely among his best!
