WOW!  This is an extraordinary jar by Johnathan Naranjo.  The jar has flat sides so that there are four panels of work, and yet they seamlessly blend together.  There is a Big Horn Sheep on one side and then a Big Horn Sheep scene on the next.  Then there is a buffalo and finally a buffalo scene with mountains and birds!  Each side is highly detailed and etched at various levels.  The light red matte areas are where Johnathan has only lightly etched into the jar’s surface.  This is a difficult technique to master but one which has become a trademark of Johanthan’s intricate and realistic style.  Johnathan pays great attention to the details in his pottery.  It’s these little details that certainly make his work so distinctive and exciting!  It is signed on the bottom.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
