Naranjo, Johnathan – “Corn Maiden” Jar

2.75"w x 4.75'h

$ 600.00

This is a creative jar by Johnathan Naranjo.  The jar has a cylindrical shape.  The jar is etched with a  Pueblo woman holding corn.  As the jar is turned there are three additional corn plants.  The light red matte areas are where Johnathan has only lightly etched into the surface of the jar.  This is a difficult technique to master but one that has become a trademark of Johanthan’s intricate and realistic style.  Johnathan pays great attention to the details in his pottery.  It’s these little details that certainly make his work so distinctive and exciting!  It is signed on the bottom.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
