This is a creative jar by Johnathan Naranjo.  The jar has a cylindrical form with an asymmetric rim. The entire surface is fully polished. The jar is etched with a hummingbird and flowers on each side.  The jar combines realism with the open space of the polished surface.  The light red matte areas are where Johnathan has only lightly etched into the surface of the jar.  This is a difficult technique to master but one that has become a trademark of Johanthan’s intricate and realistic style.  Johnathan pays great attention to the details in his pottery.  It’s these little details that certainly make his work so distinctive and exciting!  It is signed on the bottom, “Johnathan Naranjo”.
