This is a delicately designs jar by Johnathan Naranjo.  The jar has a high shoulder and elongated neck.  The entire piece is fully polished.  One side is fully designed with a series of flowers.  They extend from the rim to the base. The light red matte areas are where Johnathan has only lightly etched into the surface of the jar.  This is a difficult technique to master but one that has become a trademark of Johanthan’s intricate and realistic style.  Johnathan pays great attention to the details in his pottery.  It’s these little details that certainly make his work so distinctive and exciting!  It is signed on the bottom, “Johnathan Naranjo”.  There is a second place ribbon from the 2016 Heard Indian Market.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
