Kevin Naranjo is known for his realistic etched pottery. This jar has an unusual oval shape with one side higher than the other. The jar is fully polished and then etched with design. There is an avanyu around the rim of the piece. Below is a scene with Pueblo ruins in the background. In the foreground are deer and plants. Kevin is able to create a scene in clay of both depth and detail. Check out the realism of each of the deer and the buildings! It was fired black and then two-toned sienna. It is signed, “Kevin Naranjo”.
