Charmae Natseway is known for her exceptional painted pottery and the use of distinctive forms. This jar has four flat sides in a rectangular shape. Each is painted with a different design. There is a green Acoma style parrot on one side. The opposite side has two Sikyatki style birds. Seprating them are sides with geometric rain pattners. The top has a star design. The piece is painted with bee-weed and highlighted with additional clay slips for color. There are red, yellow, green, orange, and brown. The lid is also four-sided and painted black. It is a creative and interesting series of designs. It is signed on the bottom, “Charmae Natseway”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
