Tobie Mae (b. 2005) is a 20-year-old daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio. This bowl is coil-built from native clay and thin-walled. It has a classic Acoma bowl shape and it is painted with bee-weed and red clay. The design is the classic Acoma hummingbird and rain designs. The bowl uses the open space to accentuate the designs. It is a creative use of a traditional design. The bowl is signed, “T.M. Patricio”. It is exciting to see such excellent work by young Acoma potters!

Tobie Mae (b. 2005) is a 19-year-old daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio. This jar is coil-built from native clay and thin-walled. It has a classic Acoma water jar shape and a high shoulder and short neck. The jar is painted with bee-weed and clay slips. The jar has four large butterflies with interlocking wings. There is a two-colored flower between the butterflies. It is a detailed and striking piece that is a creative use of form and design. The jar is signed, “T.M. Patricio”. It is exciting to see such excellent work by young Acoma potters!
