Ana Salazar is a daughter of Geronima Abeyta and learned to make pottery from her mother.  Her pieces are signed, “Than Povi” which is her name in Tewa.  This bowl is polished red on the top and bottom.  It is incised with clouds and mountains and has both red and white clay slips.  The bowl was traditionally fired.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed, “Than Povi” on the bottom.
