Candelaria Suazo is a daughter of potters Joe and Santanita Suazo.  Her sisters include Martha Suazo (the wife of Art Cody Haungooah), Margie Naranjo, Mae Tapia, and Shirley Duran.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  This bowl is coil-built, stone polished, fired, and then fully designed. There is a butterfly, rabbit, flute player, and quail as the design.  They are etched into the clay and each section is separated by a feather design.  The bowl was two-toned sienna with the main designs highlighted. It is signed on the bottom, “Candelaria Suazo”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
