Jennifer Tafoya is known for her clay vessels and amazing animal figures! This bowl is fully polished and designed. Around the rim are water patterns. There are twelve realistic trout eched into the clay. Jennifer has depicted both rainbow and brown trout. Each fish is a different position. Above the fish is a feathered avanyu encircling the bowl. After Jennifer has etched the designs into the clay, she then adds additional clay slips for the various colors. All the various colors are derived from natural clays that Jennifer seeks out herself. It is signed on the bottom, “Jennifer Tafoya & Mike Moquino”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. Jennifer continues to be one of the leading innovative potters working today!
