Mary Agnes Tafoya (1925-1980) was a daughter of Severa Tafoya.  She made pottery from1945-80.  She was known for her carved and plainware pottery.  This bowl is coil-built, carved, and stone polished.  This bowl is fully polished and plain with no design.  It is fired to a silvery black coloration.  It is signed on the bottom, “Mary A. Tafoya”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
