Myra Little Snow Tafoya was known for her creative deep carved pottery.  Each piece is coil-built, carved, and stone polished.  This bowl has a classic round shape.  The rim and base are fully polished.  The central band of the bowl is carved with 46 symmetrical rows of triangular design. The rows are at an angle and they are matte.  The texture of the rows and their symmetry create the appearance of a woven basket.  It is a creative idea that she handles well on this piece.  The bowl is fired to a glassy black coloration.  It is signed on the bottom, “Myra Little Snow”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
