Myra Little Snow Tafoya was known for her creative deep carved pottery.  Each piece is coil-built, carved, and stone polished.  This jar is thin-walled and fully polished.  It is in the shape of a classic Santa Clara long neck water jar.  There are two bear paws impressed into the clay on one side.  The claws are also impressed into the clay before it was fired.  It was traditionally fired to a silvery-black coloration.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay “Myra Little Snow”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
