Thomas Tenorio is from the Aguilar family of Kewa Pueblo.  Amazingly, he taught himself to make pottery!  This jar is coil-built and painted with bee-weed and a red clay slip.  The jar has birds and flowers as the design.  Around the rim are clouds.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Thomas Tenorio”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
