Thomas Tenorio is from the Aguilar family of Kewa Pueblo. Amazingly, he taught himself to make pottery! This seedpot is carved and then painted. There are eight feathers on the top. On the sides are four carved medallions with Santo Domingo style birds. The entire piece is both fully carved and painted. It is signed on the bottom “T. Tenorio”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.

Thomas Tenorio is from the Aguilar family of Kewa Pueblo. Amazingly, he taught himself to make pottery! This is a mini version of his larger vessels. The jar has a tall shape with a short neck. The top has a leaf design. Around the center are Santo Domingo birds. It is signed on the bottom “T. Tenorio”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
