5"w x 6"h

$ 1,200.00

This is a striking water jar by Tse-Pe Gonzales and Dora.  It was made in 1975.  The jar was made and polished by Dora and then incised by Tse-Pe before it was fired.  The neck of the jar has a water serpent (avanyu) and around the neck are four heartline bears.  Below the shoulder are four bear paws alternating in the space between the bears.  It is a detail and striking piece.  The jar was fired to a silvery near-gunmetal coloration.  The piece is signed “Tse-pe and Dora”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  Tse-Pe and Dora worked individually from the 1980-2000, but their early collaborative work remains innovative, creative and of the highest quality even compared to many of today’s potters.
