Leland Vallo was a son of noted potter, Marie Vallo, and the brother of Kim Vallo. He learned to make pottery from his mother and began making pottery in 1991. This jar is coil-built and intricately painted.  There is a feather design around the neck of the jar.  Across the surface are rain, feather, and cloud designs.  It is very tightly painted for the size!  The jar is signed on the bottom, “L.  Vallo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
