Leland Vallo was a son of noted potter, Marie Vallo, and the brother of Kim Vallo. He learned to make pottery from his mother and began making pottery in 1991. This seedpot is coil-built and intricately painted.  There are eight plant designs on the top.  On the sides are rain clouds.  It is one of his more traditional pieces.  The seedpot is signed on the bottom, “L.  Vallo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
