This is a classic bowl by Lorriane Williams.  It has a round body and it is fully designed.  The bowl has an incised cloud and mountain design.  Note the depth of the incised designs!  The bottom is polished red.  The bowl was traditionally fired and was covered in pinon pitch, which is typical of all traditional Navajo pottery harkening back to when it was utilitarian.   It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “LW”.  Lorraine has won numerous awards for her pottery and has been featured in books such as “A Legacy of Generations”.
