This is a round bowl by Maria Martinez and it is one of her classic shapes. The bowl was made and polished by Maria and painted by her daughter-in-law Santana. The bowl has a mountain and cloud pattern painted around the shoulder of the piece.  The bowl was traditionally fired to a silvery, nearly gunmetal coloration.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay “Marie + Santana”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
