This seddpot by Ray Tafoya is from 1980. It is an earlier piece of his pottery. The piece is fully polished and etched on about two-thirds of the piece. There are two mudhead katsinas along with a kiva ladder. There are rain clouds in the sky. It is an exceptional early in piece in terms of design. Interestingly, a lot of his pieces from this time included Katsina figures. The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark, which is a White Mountain (his name in Tewa), and R. Tafoya.
