Jennifer Tafoya is known for her clay vessels and also her amazing animal figures. This bear is fired brown and the back is fully polished. The face of the bear has two different slips. The back is etched with a bear paw in the center. There is a realistic trout, feathers, rain cloud, and geometric designs. The detail on the piece is exceptional, as is the coloration! The bear’s paws are even etched on the feet! All the various colors are derived from natural clay slips. It is signed, “JT” on the bottom. Jennifer continues to be one of the leading innovative potters working today!

Jennifer Tafoya is known for her clay vessels and also her amazing animal figures. This bear is fired red, and its back is fully polished. There are two sections of feathers and two sections with butterflies. The butterflies are very highly detailed. Look closely, and you can see the little wind swirling around the wings of the butterflies! There are lightning and rain designs extending down the front legs. In the center is a bear paw track. The bear’s paws are even etched on the feet! All the various colors are derived from natural clay slips. Jennifer continues to be one of the leading innovative potters working today!
